Founders
Rob Cheng, Dave Methvin
Rob Cheng co-founded PC Matic (originally as PC Pitstop) in 1999 after serving as SVP of Gateway Computers, where he observed that technical support costs were rising faster than revenue and saw an opportunity to automate computer diagnostics and security. He holds a BS in Engineering from Cornell University and an MBA in Finance from the University of Texas, and brings over 40 years of experience in sales, marketing, and support in the computer industry. Rob lives in Myrtle Beach, SC, and is the sole investor in the privately held company; Dave Methvin co-founded the company alongside him with the shared mission of creating a better way to diagnose and protect computers.
